The Sims is considered to be the best real life simulator game ever made. For its creation Will Wright is responsible, the author of SimCity series at the end of twentieth century. He is also the founder of Maxis Studio. Even though SimCity series was successful, its successor, The Sims, achieved an incredible success. Since 2000, year by year new parts of games series, smaller and bigger additions were released. The Sims made thousands of fans all over the world, who after each subsequent installment eagerly await for the next parts. One of the best things about the Sims 4 is its free, built-in Gallery. The Sims 4 Gallery is accessible in the game (or on the Sims website), and allows players access to over 33 million user-created lots, households, and rooms.

With so much choice it can be easy to miss out on some really amazing builds, so I've decided to highlight some of my personal favourite lots from The Sims 4 Gallery; everything from wedding venues, beaches, parks, nightclubs, starter homes, and more!

You can find all these in the Sims 4 Gallery by searching for the name of the lot, or the creator's name.

Keep in mind that though all these lots are custom content free, they may use expansions, game packs, or stuff packs that you may not have, so make sure you see what's required before adding lots to your game!

1. Heather's Tudor Cottage- HatsyYT

When I was looking for homes to fill Windenburg, I found lots of gorgeous ones, but this one from HatsyYT really took the cake! This is a gorgeous tudor-style home, perfect for a big family with lots of money. All of HatsyYT's builds are stunning, and I recommend browsing her entire gallery.

2. Grandma's House- Simcastic

I love this cute little home! It's a small-sized house with some old-fashioned furnishings, making it perfect for a 'grandma' as the title suggests. The price does keep it from being what I'd consider a 'starter home' but it's cute and quaint and perfect for a small Sim family.

3. Starter House 'Fresh'- Namcia

I love this little starter house by Namcia! All of their homes are really lovely, but I've used this one in my games several times. It's got a very cute exterior, and a small, cozy interior. Perfect for one or two Sims, just starting out in the game.

4. Modern Family Starter- SaraSimm3r

This is another adorable starter home that I love using in my saves! It fits on the smallest lots in the game, but has a lot more space on the inside with three bedrooms and two baths. It's great for a new family starting out, or a couple without kids.

5. Harmony Family House- smubuhcakes

smubuhcakes is probably my favourite house builder in the Gallery. I love ALL of their homes and use them in all of my games; their gallery is filled with a lovely variety of starter homes and larger family homes for every neighbourhood in the game. The home interiors are also really lovely and well-decorated too! The above house is no exception, and is great for a medium or large Sim family.

6. Hogwarts- lila-builds

I'm a Harry Potter fan, so of course I had to include my favourite version of Hogwarts in the Gallery! This one I feel is the most realistic to the movie/book versions of Hogwarts; it even has the greenhouse in the back! Though this is a Residential lot, you could even use it as a school lot (if you have Zerbu's Go to School mod), or a library; whatever you want!

7. Art Deco Penthouse- luckyheather

I'm absolutely crazy about this penthouse by luckyheather! It looks great in San Myshuno and actually reminds me a bit of the art style of The Sims 3 (doesn't this look like a screenshot from the Late Night expansion?). Luckyheather really captured the art deco style in both the interior and exterior, there's a gorgeous pool surrounding it, and your flashy Sims will just love this penthouse!

8. Doctor Who Tardis- GymeaLillie

How cute is this Tardis home by GymeaLillie? Just like the real Tardis, it's bigger on the inside, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. This is perfect for any Doctor Who Sims game, or any Sim that's working in the Secret Agent, or even Astronaut careers.

9. An Apple A Day Farm- wrathofcath

I love this beautiful and cozy farm by wrathofcath! It's got the main farmhouse, barn, garden, and even a fishing pond! If you're looking to live the farm life, or play out Stardew Valley in the Sims, this lot is perfect.

10. Winter Log Houses No CC- findjoo

We might not have Seasons yet, but why not put a bit of winter into your game with findjoo's lot? This gorgeous log cabin would actually be perfect as a retreat in Granite Falls- if your family could afford it!

11. Industrial Apartment NO CC- Dirtynwah

I just love the look of this lot by Dirtynwah! It does use a lot of pieces from City Living, but is not a CL-style apartment, despite the name. Your Sims can live like a real city dweller no matter where you plop this trendy-looking home!

12. Lighthouse Retreat- cjlhills

Take a look at this stunning lighthouse by cjlhills! It's a bit small, but the exterior more than makes up for the tight interior. It'd be perfect placed in Windenburg or Brindleton Bay.

13. Tiki Bar- simnopsis

This is the most downloaded bar in the Sims 4 Gallery, and it's easy to see why: with it's beautiful, sunny exterior and tropical feel, this bar is the perfect little spot for a night out with your friends, or a romantic Sim date!

14. The Hare and Hound- Pub- elsing2000

I love this English-style pub by elsing2000! It would be great in a European-inspired block, or just in Willow Creek, Windenburg, or Magnolia Crescent. The upper floors are empty, as well, so you can put whatever you'd like!

15. Little Coriscan Bistro- yamprincess

Remember this lot in The Sims 3? Well, yamprincess has brought it back for The Sims 4, except you can actually go inside and not just disappear in a 'rabbit hole'! The inside is a bit sparse, but that just leaves room for you to decorate it as you wish!

16. Lucky Llama Bowling- StardustBunny

I'm not sure why The Sims 4 decided that bowling alleys have to be bars, but alas, here we are! Either way, the Lucky Llama Bowling is the perfect alley for anyone who has the Bowling Stuff Pack!

17. Book Cafe: Windenburg- noginogiman

I adore this quaint little cafe by noginogiman! It fits in perfectly in Windenburg, and is the best cafe for your coffee and book-loving Sims!

18. Cat Cafe CutePaws- ElliandraYT

Any Sim would love to spend time at this adorable cat cafe! It even comes equipped with the cat hangout and cat friendly lot traits, so your Sims will be swarmed with feline friends as they're having a cup of coffee!

19. Amsterdam- Simoniona

Sims 4 Lots Cc Included

So, this might not be the typical 'cafe' but I just love this Amsterdam lot by Simoniona! Inspired by the canal houses of Amsterdam, this large and beautiful lot will beautify any city you plop it in!

20. Weathertop Amon Sul- Rivendellstar

I am IN LOVE with this gorgeous amphitheatre by Rivendellstar. It's perfect for a midnight piano performance, guitar (or singing, if you've got City Living installed), or you can even transform it into a wedding venue. I've used it in many of my games!

21. Superstar Festival Ground- YorkieOrigin

I'm hoping that someday in the near future we get a proper band/music expansion, because if/when we do, this lot will be perfect for a Sims' version of Coachella! Even still, this is another great place for your musician Sims to practice their instruments while townies watch on from the comfy poof chairs.

22. Little Family Zoo- relhcuk1

We don't have zoo animals in the Sims 4, but you can pretend like we do with this cute little zoo! I love taking my Sims and their families here on the weekend for a nice day out.

23. Sydney Opera Hall- Zita1966

As a Sydneysider, I definitely wanted to add a version of the Sydney Opera House to my game! Zita1996's one fulfilled all my expectations, and more! It's also worth checking out Zita's entire gallery; she has lots of beautiful and creative lots that you'll want to add to your game.

24. WhiteRose Wedding Venue- ZLXRachel

I absolutely love Sim weddings! The WhiteRose Wedding Venue is one of my favourite venues in the game for throwing the most romantic wedding for my Sims. It's quaint and cute, and will be a great place for any Sims to declare their ever-lasting love.

25. 8-Bit- jafhsdf

As a gaming nerd, 8-bit was a no-brainer to add to my game. The exterior looks amazing in any world you place it in, but the interior, with Pac-Man themed lighting and other retro gaming designs, will impress you just as much!

26. Cruise Ship Honeymoon- alanmichael1

The Cruise Ship Honeymoon has been a stable in my games since I first found it! It's great for weddings, a romantic date, or (as I had for one of my Sims in a legacy game) a vow renewal ceremony. It also makes the perfect background for screenshots and pictures!

27. Family Camping- gollumana69

Looking to refresh the lots in Granite Falls? The Family Camping lot is a wonderful addition! I've had my Sims stay on this lot a few times on vacation and it feels like they're away at summer camp.

28. Oasis Springs Beach- Swaen17

Sometimes, I like to pretend that Granite Falls has a beach theme, and when I do, I always add the Oasis Springs Beach to the world. This is the perfect little 'beach' for your Sims, and it looks very realistic with its pool and 'sand.'

29. Simmy Scout Camp- butterbeanbunny

With Get Together's club system, you can make a 'summer camp' for your child or teen Sims, and send them away to Simmy Scout Camp! This little campsite looks like the summer camp I went away to in real life in 6th grade. With cabins and fun camping activities, your little simmers will love it!

30. Romantic Park- manonchat

I love this stunning park by manonchat! This would be another perfect one for a romantic date, or wedding! Send your Sims here for an day (or evening) of delight.

31. Starbucks Coffee Revu- juti04

As soon as Dine Out was released, I knew I wanted to run a 'Starbucks' in my game. This lot is absolutely perfect for your fledgling baristas! You can serve coffee, cakes, tea or whatever you want, but don't forget the green uniforms!

32. The Herveaux Winery- ju1ka

If you're looking for the perfect place for a romantic dinner, look no further than The Herveaux Winery! Candlelit tables and lobster set the ambience for an absolutely perfect night for your Sims!

33. The Beach Bar- TheGreatSimphony

I really love beach-themed lots, and The Beach Bar is another great one! Have your Sims feel like they're in a tropical destination with this fun and trendy beach bar. Don't forget to order piña coladas!

34. The Chowder House V2- silrosse

I absolutely love everything silrosse (or Jenba) builds, but The Chowder House V2 is my favourite restaurant in my games! It looks beautiful in Windenburg, and the outdoor seating is a wonderful spot for a lunch date with friends or a party.

35. Blaine's Grocery- RainyDaySimmer

The Sims 4 doesn't have a grocery store, but you can pretend that there's one with Blaine's Grocery! Take your Sims here to browse for dinner if they don't feel like cooking at home, or run your own grocery store!

36. Brittany's Bridal- brittpinkie

A small shameless self-plug here :) You can find all my creations on the gallery under brittpinkie. This is my renovation of one of Paddywack's Emporium from Magnolia Promenade, which I turned into a bridal shop! There's dresses to try on, suits for the gentlemen, or upstairs, your Sims can get pampered in the beauty salon!

37. GalloNero Winery & Eatery- BrienneOfTarth

I am just in love with this romantic winery by BrienneOfTarth. Though it's set as retail, I'd personally recommend changing this one up to a restaurant (if you have Dine Out), and taking your Sims here for a dinner. Don't forget to go for a walk through the vineyard in the back!

38. Museum 30x20- PinkPickle246

Walk like an Egyptian into this Pyramid-shaped museum! Maybe you want to make an Egyptian-themed game, recreate the Las Vegas strip, or just add a little splendour to your game; either way, this beautiful constructed lot is a perfect addition.

39. Hundertwasser- MrSimfeld

I don't think I've ever visited the Arts Center in San Myshuno (let's be real- this new lot type is pretty pointless- isn't it the same as a museum?), but I really love this one by Mr.Simfeld! If I was going to visit an Arts Center, it'd probably be this trendy one.

I can't help but add another Harry Potter related lot! Look at this awesome (and functional) Quidditch Pitch by PunkinPy56! It'll be perfect in your Harry Potter save game!
